Mix milk and sugar and heat it low flame. Once sugar dissolves complete, add the agar agar powder and make sure it mixes well. Keep stirring the mixture either using spoon or with a metal whisker. Now add the heavy cream, vanilla and condensed milk. Keep stirring in low flame and let all the milk incorporate. Turn off the heat and add this mixture to your favorite mold or individual serving cups. Before refrigerating, break the air pops and let it sit in fridge till the panna cotta sets. (I let it set for overnight) After it sets, run the knife slowly around the edges of the mold to take it out. Decorate using fruits or colored sugar or confettis. That’s it. Yummy dessert is ready.
If you are using strands, 4 to 5 strands can be used. Soak it water before adding it to milk. Agar agar powder can be first dissolved in water and can be mixed with milk. But asI used 2% milk, I directly added it to it. Instead of 2% milk, whole milk can be used too. Adjust sugar and the condensed milk according to your preference. Either one alone can be used. Before removing the panna cotta from the mold let it sit for some time for about 15 to 20 minutes and then wet the knife and run around the edges. Other flavors or essence can be added.

How do you make agar agar with coconut milk?
Instructions –
Seed the cardamom pods and discard the shells. In a small saucepan combine the coconut milk, cardamom seeds, sugar and vanilla extract and set on medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. When the sugar has dissolved, sprinkle the agar-agar flakes all over the surface of the coconut milk mixture. Set the heat on medium-high and let cook without stirring until it starts boiling. The agar-agar flakes will stay on the surface and not sink. When the milk starts boiling lower the heat to medium and stir. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the agar-agar flakes dissolve and the mixture slightly thickens, stirring from time to time. Remove from the heat and divide mixture between 2 serving moulds. Pour the mixture through a mesh sieve in order to retain cardamom seeds and agar-agar leftovers. Let slightly cool, then transfer to the fridge to set. This panna cotta requires about 2 hours of cooling time to harden. As a serving suggestion, flip panna cotta out of moulds and onto serving plates and decorate with ground pistachios.
